I am a neuropsychologist in private practice in Corte
Madera, California.
I began
my career as a regular education teacher working in San Francisco and San Mateo. Shortly thereafter I pursued additional
training as a reading specialist and continue to hold Regular Education and specialist teaching credentials. Due to a particular
interest in the causes of reading disorders and issues related to learning, I pursued advanced studies in neuropsychology.
In 1983 I earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Special Education with emphasis in Neuropsychology and Learning
Disabilities from the University of California, Berkeley. During my post-doctoral years I was the director of an educational
program for adolescents with attentional problems, learning disabilities, and emotional difficulties. I was licensed as a
psychologist in California in 1987.
My
practice for the past thirty years has predominantly consisted of: evaluations of children, adolescents and adults; supervision
of testing done by educational therapists and psychologists; and consultation to schools, families, and other professionals.
I have evaluated students attending most schools in Marin County as well as many schools in San Francisco, Sonoma, and
the East Bay. Consultation and assessments are also frequently provided for college students and those planning to attend
graduate or professional schools.
